Baby Carrots Braised with Sage

BABY CARROTS BRAISED W/SAGE

INGREDIENTS


1 pound of baby carrots
1/2-1 teaspoon dried sage (or 1+ tablespoons fresh sage, finely chopped)
1/2 cup apple cider

 


 

 DIRECTIONS

 Here is a lovely side dish for Thanksgiving or any time you can get sweet carrots. In a large pan heat apple cider and stir in sage. When just starting to boil, add carrots in a single layer, cover and reduce to low simmer, stirring occasionally and keeping carrots in single layer. Cook until crispy tender (about 12-15 minutes) or very tender (about 25-30 minutes).
